There's no place like home!

The beach was wonderful! It was so relaxing. A good time was had by all. I will post some pictures in the next day or so. The Rock Star went to Club La Vela for teen night. Some of them loved it and some of them did not. Who loved it you might ask? My son! Yep, that's right! Silly had her birthday party at Margaritaville! I know, I know! This ain't looking too good! You would think we partied down while we were there. We did! Just with some virgin daiquiris, a night of dancing, a couple of belly piercings (not mine), a good tan, and a whole lot of togetherness.
Anywho, I am glad to be home except for all the laundry that is piled high! I will be swimming in that for a few days.

Anniversaries, Fathers Day, Birthdays, & Vacation

Busy, Busy, Busy! The story of our life. Today is my 16th wedding anniversary! WooHoo! I love you Big Poppa and look forward to the next 16! Since Sunday is Father's Day I wanted to give a shout out to my daddy! And to my babies daddy! (HA) And to my step-dad! I love you all and the part that each of you play in my life. We leave for vacation Monday morning and won't be back till Friday. Going to Panama City with a friend of mine that is bringing 6 teenage girls (1 being-Baby Girl), the 4 of us, and The Rock Star is bringing 1 friend. Did I just say vacation? I am going to need one when I get back. But that's how we roll. Crazy? Some (most) might say we are, but we know, that we know, that we know, that God places people in our lives for a reason and a season so we accept it and go forward.
The 24th is Silly's birthday! We are going to celebrate while we're gone and let that be that for this year. But really who gets to have their party at the beach?
Hope everybody has a great weekend!

The Body of Christ

Over the past few days I have definitely seen what it means to be part of "The Body of Christ". There is family in our church that has 9 (yeah, you read it right) children and were in desperate need of some things. They did not ask! Someone else did, because they saw the "need", not the "want". God used so many different people to bless this family that it has been unbelievable. I have been amazed and in awe at what God has done through His people. We all have something we can do. I challenge you today to seek Him for what that "something" may be for you.

Blessed, because someone else is!

Weight Loss-A work in progress!

Today is a day of celebration for me. I have officially lost 50 lbs! I know I haven't said anything about it here-you know there's the whole accountability thing and all. Anywho! I still have that much more to go, but I am well on my way. So, here are some before, during, and after, will come after.
This first 2 were taken late November (me & my brother) & early December (me).

First week in March (me & The Rock Star)

Today!

So, my journey continues.

Weekend Happenings

First things first and most important! The Rock Star got baptized yesterday! When did I find out? Yesterday morning! Hello! Anywho.......I am so proud of him. He also was called to take some classes from a talent search he participated in but not just for his rapping abilities, but his good looks too! They want him to look into some modeling! He's not too comfortable with the word "modeling"! HA! Here he is in the pool getting baptized by the Youth Pastor who just happens to be Baby Girls daddy! First date! Friends! I couldn't pass up the opportunity to dress Silly up.
On to the home front. I've been inspired to get things organized so I worked in Silly's play room for "several" hours putting things in their rightful place.

Really? How many blankets, barbies, and purses does one 5 year old need?
I know, I know, I've got some issues! In my own defense, most of the blankets were used to keep both of my children warm. The purses-well, a girl has to match right? The barbies-I got nothing!
